Owner of Lindsay's Little Bakery - a boutique mobile dessert business in California's Central Coast - and founder of The Mobile Bakery Method.
I started my bakery at 16 with no blueprint, no mentor, and no map. Just a love for baking and a whole lot of grit.
I figured everything out the hard way.
At 16 I posted cookie boxes on a whim to see if anyone would buy them. They did. Then I worked at other bakeries thinking that was the path. It wasn't. Then I went all in on my own business - markets, popups, preorders, custom orders, eventually weddings - building something real but figuring out every single step from scratch.
Then I hit a wall. I was ready for more.
My area was full of bar trailers at events and I thought -Â why is nobody doing this in the bakery space?
I searched. Only found two people doing anything close. Decided to figure it out myself.
My dad and his construction buddy renovated my first trailer while I hustled at markets. I took it to my debut event before it was even finished.
My sales were instantly 3x what they would have been with just a table. 🤯
I had accidentally unlocked a gold mine.
That first year mobile I mostly did popups and markets. Year two I jumped into weddings and private events. Sixteen months after my first trailer I launched my second. Five months after that — my bakery cart.
Long hours. Growing pains. Mistakes that cost me time and money and sleep.
But I couldn't be prouder of what I've built.
